Tiffany Black, MT-BC graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and became board certified in 2015. She has worked primarily in mental health and hospital settings through internship at Truman Medical Center (now University Health), transitional living programs and child and adolescent psychiatric treatment facilities. She currently works as the music therapist for Saint Luke’s Crittenton Children’s Center serving children and teens in the residential and acute care programs. She has lived in Kansas City since 2010 but grew up visiting family in KC throughout her life. She made KC her official home after getting married in 2015 and lives with her husband and kitty in South KC. Her favorite music to listen to and play is singer-songwriter/modern folk tunes. Her favorite part of serving on the KCMMT board as treasurer is helping ideas come to fruition and working together with other music therapists to support the music therapy community in the KC metro area!
